The structure is located on the Nam Ngum River, north of the Nam Ngum Dam I, about 90km out of Vientiane. The objective of the Nam Ngum II project is to produce electricity for sale to Thailand and for local consumption.

 

Aim of monitoring:
 

Monitor the seepage at the plinths level anduse the active detection system with heat pulse method.

 

Main results:
 

A total of 2 independent cables (approx. 900 m each) were integrated in the filter zone by surface installation. DiTemp Light with 4Ch will mesure the temperature profiles.
